June 8 - Opening Reception"Joint Actions on Climate Change" will begin on June 8th with an Opening reception hosted by the City of Aalborg. The reception will take place at Kunsten - Museum of Modern Art situated on Kong Christians Allé 50, Aalborg. The museum was designed by Elissa and Alvar Aalto and Jean-Jacques Baruël, and built between 1968 and 1972. The museum is world famous for the use of natural light inside the building and is beautifully placed at the outskirts of large area of woodland and surrounded by a sculpture park. June 9 - Nordkraft DinnerOn the first day of conference June 9, the Chairmen Professor Arne Remmen, Aalborg University and Coordinator Henrik Riisgaard, Sustainable Business Forum North Denmark will host a Nordkraft Dinner. The dinner will begin at 19:30, and will be held in the Nordkraft Cultural Center, Kjellerups Torv 5.
Nordkraft was built in 1954-56, and housed North Denmark’s power industry. Today this building is being turned into a cultural center for activities such as music, art, theater, film, and sports. The original structure has been preserved for its cultural and architectural value. Ideally located in central Aalborg’s waterfront area, you are invited to be one of the first to experience this historic landmark with international dimensions.
